I do not know what I’m talking about? Here’s the thing that companies need to hang on the wall – “to provide the best possible service, while the most effective for our customers blah blah blah best possible”

The first problem with this mission statement filled up with public statements that can be written for any company. They sat proudly on the wall as if someone knows what I mean as if someone cares. Appeared to be large and somewhat meaningful.

I fell in love with the task of data management. After a management seminar, and became convinced that the managers of the mission statement is the key to success, “Our employees have stated, it gives each goal, such as to ensure that all works for same goal. ” What a bunch of garbage turned out that all
I was in medium-sized companies, and was horried hear one day that CEO has decided that not only is important to have a mission statement, but it is important that employees decide what he will say! Mother, and said to me, “Hey, I do not know where to turn it ocmpnay even tell me !!!”. Thus, the annual conference, we are all split into groups to decide that the mission statement of the company should be. Then, we will all meet at the end of the game and combine the best ideas from each group.
You can guess what was the mission statement. Yes, a waste of time in general. Had a full course of "best service", "customer focus", "seeks to achieve" etc. I think there was a little bit of environmental awareness thrown in!

If you are looking for direction, then in the direction of the company comes from the top – from the Executive Director. Important statement of the rhubarb is not strong leadership. What about the company can usually be summed up in a few words. Where the moving company is the best articulated of the year, down by the forces. A banner hung on the wall just does not cut it.
If the company's rank and file do not know why we are here and where we are going, and what part the individual plays in the overall scheme, then the captain can not do its job. Important statement is slain.

Luckily now I work in a bus rental company and we are small enough that people decide liklihood we need a mission statement is low. Rental bus companies are not immune though – I’m always on the lookout for warning signs of gentle and defuse any person who is to pay the seminar data management task!
